Danče beach is one of the oldest beaches in Dubrovnik. Located below the monastery complex with the Church of St. Mary, beneath Gradac Park, about 200 meters from the Old Town.
The beach is rocky, and the sea is deep and clean, slightly colder than elsewhere.
Danče beach faces the open sea and is not sheltered from waves during windy days when the jugo or maestral blows, so it is not recommended for children or weaker and inexperienced swimmers.
